Austria (Österreich in German and Östareich in Austro-Bavarian) is 9 million people country in the northeast part of Europe. It belongs to the European Union (EU) and it's surrounded by Czech Republic, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary and Slovakia. The population is mostly Catholic, the official language is German (and Austro-Bavarian dialect, sometimes considered a language; many people can English) and the official currency is the euro (€). The main city, and the capital city, of Austria is Vienna, with other important cities like Salzburg or Graz.
